Returns

Returns are accepted only within 14 days of delivery. This means that the return package must be postmarked within 14 days of the date on which the Orthodox icon was delivered to your door. Pay attention that you should contact us directly before returning an item so that we could send you our Return Merchandise Authorization Form. Otherwise, the return will not be accepted.

If the Russian icon you receive does not match the item described, you will receive a full refund including reimbursement for return shipping. In other cases, we will refund the cost of the item but not the cost of shipping. Needless to say, the Orthodox icon or any other religious artifact must be shipped to us in its original condition to be eligible for a refund. Please consider purchasing the appropriate insurance covering damage or loss in transit and make sure to pack the item very securely. Otherwise, if it appears damaged, worn, or altered one way or another, you will not be refunded.

Please note that in case of loss or damage, the courier has to complete an investigation before any insurance claims can be processed. Refunds for such items are not given until the investigation is concluded. In this way, if you believe your Orthodox icon has been lost, immediately contact Russian Icon and the courier. In addition, you are required to provide us with the proof of insurance and tracking information as well.

For antique Russian icons that come wrapped in our special tape, returns will not be accepted if the tape has been broken. Therefore, you must first decide if you are satisfied with the appearance of the Orthodox icon you have received and only then remove the tape to confirm its authenticity.

IMPORTANT: For insurance purposes, you will be required to send us a photograph of the icon in its box before it is closed and sealed and include it in your return package so we can see that it left your possession in the same condition in which it was shipped to you.
